Lady Bay Planters Adoption scheme.
When we heard that our planters were under threat, myself and a fellow parent in Lady Bay began plotting a way to save them for the community. It was hoped that we could secure some funding for the scheme which we duly did and we are now on our way to the task of allocating planters.

Join the Lady Bay EcoTeam
 A group of local residents are looking for people to help form an EcoTeam. An EcoTeam is an effective way to reduce your impact on the environment, save money and meet new people.
 
A team is made up of 6-8 people, led by a facilitator, who meet monthly for 5 meetings to share ideas and work together to learn simple, effective changes leading to a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. The meetings are fun, relaxed and informal.

Business and home security crime reduction exposition
Please note that Nottinghamshire Police are organising an exposition, which will give you ideas of how to improve your security. This will be held on Tuesday 13 May 2008 at the Village Hotel, off the A6005 Nottingham Road (between Beeston and Long Eaton). Admission is free and the expo is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be exhibitors from various aspects of the security industry so you will be able to discuss your individual needs with a wide variety of experts. Dogs, Stray, Stolen or Dangerous

A RINGMASTER MESSAGE

A change in national legislation means that local authorities alone will be responsible for dealing with lost or stray dogs from 6 Apr 2008, ending the current arrangement under which the police and councils shared this task. After 6 Apr 2008 the police will not accept stray dogs at any police stations or take notifications of lost dogs. The police will continue to be responsible for taking action over dangerous dogs and the theft of dogs. Please find below the new arrangements regarding stray dogs and please note these differ from borough to borough.
